RESERVE WHITE
The Reserve range is a blend of the best wines produced each vintage from Leeuwenkuil vineyards. Although these blends will always be dominated by Shiraz and Chenin aged in big vats, any cultivar and wine style may qualify for these Châteauneuf-du-Pape type blends.
Reserve White 2020
This WO Swartland white blend consists of 80% Chenin Blanc, while Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Verdelho, Clairette Blanche, Roussanne, Chardonnay, Colombar and Viura make up the rest of the blend.
We found that the traditional methods of whole bunch pressing and natural fermentation in big vats express the terroir of our vineyards best. The idea is to make and age as many components as possible before the fun of blending starts.
Tim Atkin rated the maiden 2017 vintage the best value for money wine in his annual South African report and Platter Wine Guide agreed with a 5-star rating.
